Meet Your Dog Groomer

Howdy! My name is Jennifer but everyone calls me Jyn. If you're here, you want to know about me so I'm just going to dive right in! I grew up in a loving home near Indianapolis, Indiana with two parents, three older siblings, and a bunch of animals! Our house was home to snakes, hamsters, an iguana, a bearded dragon, cats, and dogs. As the youngest, you can imagine what sort of childhood I had. Call me the pet whisperer. 

I never truly understood how important animals were to me until I found myself withdrawing from Indiana University to pursue a career in the pet industry. I may still be paying for those student loans now but I do not regret my choice one bit. In my 8 years of working in the pet industry, I have felt endless joy helping animals and their families with whatever they need. 

As a doggy daycare worker in the largest facility in Indiana, I helped socialize dogs, kept their environment clean, informed parents of concerns, and provided guidance when needed. As a pet hotel attendant, I provided love, play, and support to pets when their families were away. As a vet assistant, I comforted pets through health and sickness as well as birth and death.  Now, as a mobile pet groomer, I help take care of the pets whose loved ones can't just jump in the car to take their pet to the groomer. 

So that's the story of my childhood and professional career but what about who I am when I'm off the clock? Well, I'm married to my best friend. His name is Isaac and our moms hooked us up. Mothers know best! We have two dogs named Bentley and Kia, and a cat named Morty. We moved to the Huntsville area in 2022 and feel right at home. Showing off the space museum and hiking at Monte Sano are a must when family visits. Isaac and I also enjoy relaxing in front of the tv, having fun with our pups, playing video games, gardening, and keeping up with our families who live all around the United States.
